Horrorfest - October 27th @ The Fargo Theater
Kick off your Halloween weekend on Thursday, October 27th at the Fargo Theatre...

A celebration of the morbid and the macabre!
HorrorFest will offer two separate trailer reels, each emphasizing a different aspect of the genre.
Join us at 6:45pm for “Black & White & Blood Red” – a retrospect of classic monster and spook films from the ‘50s and early 60s. At 9:30pm HorrorFest will come to a gruesome ending with the “Late Night Fright Feast” – a smorgasbord of carnage (and comedy). This reel is the night’s only 18+ event; a valid ID will be required for admittance.
And to facilitate the festive mood of our adult patrons, spirits (of the less malevolent kind) will be provided by Sidestreet Grille and Pub from 6:30pm – 11:00pm.
So if you think you have the fortitude for a 5 hour festival of fear then drag your body to HorrorFest!

Insomniac CEO and Founder Pasquale Rotella Receives Official Proclamation
Las Vegas, Nevada – This morning during his weekly press conference, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman welcomed Insomniac CEO and Founder Pasquale Rotella to the City and presented him with a proclamation declaring the week of June 20, 2011, as “Electric Daisy Carnival Week.” North America’s largest electronic music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, will be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway June 24-26, 2011, with more than 200 artists/performers and more than 200,000 attendees expected.

“I am very honored and excited to be able to stand beside a true ambassador for the City of Las Vegas, Mayor Goodman,” said Insomniac CEO and Founder, Pasquale Rotella. “Las Vegas has provided a wonderful welcome, and this proclamation – declaring Electric Daisy Carnival Week - only adds to the excitement as we prepare to welcome thousands of visitors to this City and to our festival next week.”
Mayor Goodman praised Rotella for bringing the opportunity to Las Vegas, and for contributing to the community by donating $1 for each ticket and $10 from each guest list attendee to Las Vegas charitable organizations including the Clark CountySchool-Community Partnership Program, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the Injured Police Officers Fund – Las Vegas.
Goodman, also known as the “World’s Happiest Mayor,” shared that Las Vegas’ reputation as the entertainment capitol of the world makes Electric Daisy Carnival a perfect fit for the City. He welcomed the thousands of expected festival goers and is considering attending next week’s festival. Rotella offered to send him some music in advance and welcome him personally to the three day event.
Creating a true carnival atmosphere, the festival will feature more than 200 performers, including dancers, fire twirlers, aerialists, and stilt walkers, plus 28 full size carnival rides and attractions that are free for all ticket holders. The 1,000-acre complex will be transformed into a fully immersive audiovisual experience as 13 large-scale art installations will create their own interactive environments amidst the six stages, along with state-of-the-art lighting and sound production. Attendees will also get to experience the most impressive pyrotechnics display in Insomniac’s history, featuring a 15-minute fireworks display each night.
Tickets and table reservation requests are available at www.electricdaisycarnival.com.

KNDS Radio and the High Plains Reader present... GRINDFEST :: NOVEMBER 18 :: FARGO THEATRE
There have always been shamelessly bad films that, intentionally or not, provide more campy fun than mainstream Hollywood releases, yet can become admittedly tedious to sit through in their entirety. However, the one- to three-minute trailers that advertise them can give just enough flavor of their over-the-top plots, exuberant enthusiasm, marginal technical competence and cheesy dialogue.
